Bus
From downtown Sarasota, walk to the Sarasota County Area Transit (SCAT) bus stop on Main Street. Take the SCAT bus route 99 towards St. Petersburg. Stay on the bus for about 50 minutes. When you arrive at the stop for 'St. Petersburg - 34th St. S & 1st Ave. S', disembark. From there, transfer to the PSTA bus route 19 heading towards 'St. Pete Beach'. Ride for approximately 10 minutes and get off at 'Country Club Way S & 11th Ave S'. Boyd Hill Nature Preserve will be a short walk from the bus stop.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Sarasota. Start from the downtown area and head south on US-41. Follow this highway until you reach the Pinellas Trail. Continue on the Pinellas Trail heading west until you reach the intersection with Country Club Way S. Turn left onto Country Club Way S. Boyd Hill Nature Preserve will be on your left.

If you are in St. Petersburg, you can simply walk to Boyd Hill Nature Preserve. Start at the St. Petersburg Pier and head south on Beach Drive NE. Turn right onto 1st Avenue S and continue walking until you reach 34th Street S. Turn left onto 34th Street S and walk until you reach Country Club Way S. Turn right onto Country Club Way S, and you will find the entrance to Boyd Hill Nature Preserve.
