From downtown Sarasota, walk to the nearest bus stop on Main St. Catch the Manatee County Area Transit (MCAT) bus route 3 heading towards Manatee Ave. After about 30 minutes, get off at the stop for Gulf Dr S & 6th St in Bradenton Beach. From there, it's a short 10-minute walk south along Gulf Dr S to reach Leffis Key Preserve.

If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Sarasota. Start your ride from the downtown area, head west towards the Ringling Bridge, and cross it into St. Armands Circle. Continue onto Lido Key and then to Longboat Key. Follow the scenic coastal route until you reach Bradenton Beach. Once you arrive at Gulf Dr S, Leffis Key Preserve will be on your left.
