Walking
If you are staying in Lido Key, you can easily walk to Lido Beach. Start at any point in the neighborhood and head towards the beach. Look for Lido Key Beach Access signs. The beach is approximately 0.5 miles from the center of Lido Key and should take about 10-15 minutes to walk. Follow the residential streets towards the beach, and when you reach the edge of the island, you will find the sandy shores of Lido Beach.
Bicycle
For a quicker trip, consider renting a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Lido Key. Once you have a bike, head towards the beach by following Ben Franklin Drive, which takes you directly to Lido Beach. The ride should take about 5-10 minutes. Make sure to obey any bicycle traffic rules and enjoy the scenic views along the way.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, utilize the Sarasota County Area Transit (SCAT) bus system. You can catch Route 4, which services Lido Key. The nearest bus stop to the beach is on the corner of Benjamin Franklin Drive and Lido Key Drive. The bus fare is approximately $1.25 per ride, and the journey to the beach will take about 10-15 minutes. Check the bus schedule ahead of time to ensure you catch the bus at the right time.
