Car
From anywhere in Southwest Florida, enter the highway system and head towards Miami. If you are coming from Naples, take I-75 N, then merge onto I-595 E, which will connect you to I-95 S towards Miami. If you're coming from Fort Myers, take I-75 S to I-595 E and then merge onto I-95 S. Follow I-95 S to exit 12A for US-1 S toward Key West. Continue on US-1 S for about 10 miles until you reach SW 72nd Ave. Turn right onto SW 72nd Ave, and the Deering Estate will be on your left at 16701 SW 72nd Ave, Miami, FL 33157. There may be tolls while using these highways, so be prepared with cash or an electronic toll pass.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, start by taking the Tri-Rail train from any station in Southwest Florida heading towards Miami. Disembark at the Miami Airport station. From there, transfer to Metrobus Route 37 towards Coral Way. Get off at the SW 72nd Ave & SW 167th St stop, which is the nearest stop to Deering Estate. Walk north on SW 72nd Ave for about 0.3 miles, and you will arrive at Deering Estate. The total cost for the Tri-Rail is approximately $5 for a one-way ticket, and the Metrobus fare is $2.25, so budget around $7.25 for the trip.
