Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, start by getting on the main road closest to you that leads to Merritt Island. From there, follow the signs for SR 528 East towards Cocoa Beach. Continue on SR 528 for about 10 miles. Take the exit toward NASA Parkway/Merritt Island and merge onto NASA Parkway W. Space Shuttle Atlantis is located at 405 NASA Pkwy W, which will be on your right side. There is ample parking available, but be aware there may be a parking fee of around $10.

  For those using public transportation, the Space Coast Area Transit (SCAT) offers bus services that can help you get to Merritt Island. Look for the route that goes to the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. Once you arrive at the Visitor Complex, you will need to take a shuttle bus that runs frequently to Space Shuttle Atlantis. The bus fare is typically around $1.00, and the shuttle to Atlantis is included in your admission ticket to the Visitor Complex, so keep your ticket handy.
