Car
From St. Augustine Beach, head southwest on A1A South. Continue on A1A S for approximately 6 miles. You will see the Fort Matanzas National Monument entrance on your left at 8635 A1A S. There is free parking available at the monument.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, you can take the St. Johns County Transit bus route that operates through St. Augustine Beach. Look for the 'Beach Bus' and board the bus heading towards the St. Augustine Historical District. You will need to transfer to a local bus that stops at Fort Matanzas. Please check the bus schedules, as they may vary. Note that bus fares apply, which are typically around $1.50 per ride.
Bicycle
For the more adventurous, biking is a great way to reach Fort Matanzas. From St. Augustine Beach, follow A1A South. The distance is around 6 miles, and there are bike lanes along the route.
