Car
From St. Augustine Beach, head north on A1A (Coastal Highway). Continue on A1A for approximately 5.5 miles. You will pass through various scenic areas. Look for the sign for Fort Matanzas National Monument on your right. Turn onto the entrance road, which leads directly to the parking area. There is no entrance fee for the monument, but parking may be limited during peak times.
Public Transportation
Take the St. Johns County Transit bus service. Board the bus at any convenient stop in St. Augustine Beach heading towards St. Augustine. You will want to transfer to Route 2, which has a stop near Fort Matanzas National Monument. Make sure to check the bus schedule for the most up-to-date times. The bus fare is typically around $1.50. After disembarking, walk approximately 0.5 miles south on A1A to reach the entrance of the monument.
