Bus
To reach Upham Beach Park from downtown St. Petersburg, head to the nearest bus stop at 1st Ave N & 1st St N. Take the PSTA bus route 18 towards 'St. Pete Beach.' The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the stop 'Gulf Blvd & 68th Ave' which is near the park. From there, walk west toward the beach for about 5 minutes until you reach Upham Beach Park at 6850 Beach Plaza.
Trolley
If you are near the St. Pete Beach trolley stop, board the 'Sunset Beach Trolley.' This trolley runs along the beach area and will take you to Upham Beach Park. Get off at the stop 'Upham Beach,' which is right at the park entrance. The trolley ride takes around 20 minutes, and you will enjoy beautiful views of the coastline along the way.
Bicycle
For a more active option, consider renting a bicycle. Start from downtown St. Petersburg and ride towards the Pinellas Trail. Follow the trail south until you reach the intersection with Gulf Blvd. Turn left onto Gulf Blvd and continue heading south until you reach Upham Beach Park at 6850 Beach Plaza. The ride will take about 40 minutes and offers a scenic route through the area.
Walking
If you are staying nearby, walking to Upham Beach Park is a great option. From the nearest hotel or accommodation, head towards Gulf Blvd. Walk south along Gulf Blvd until you reach 68th Ave. Turn left onto 68th Ave and continue until you reach the beach. Upham Beach Park will be directly ahead as you approach the shoreline. This walk will vary in time depending on your starting point but typically takes about 15-30 minutes.
