From downtown Stuart, head east on East Ocean Boulevard until you reach the intersection with SE Federal Hwy (US-1). Turn left onto SE Federal Hwy. Continue walking approximately 7 miles until you reach Fort Pierce. When you arrive in Fort Pierce, turn right onto Shorewinds Drive. Continue straight until you reach 905 Shorewinds Dr, which is the entrance to the Fort Pierce Inlet State Park.

Bicycle
Start at the Stuart Riverwalk and follow the path along the St. Lucie River towards the east until you reach SE Federal Hwy. Turn left on SE Federal Hwy and bike north for about 7 miles. Once you enter Fort Pierce, turn right onto Shorewinds Drive, and the entrance to Fort Pierce Inlet State Park will be on your left at 905 Shorewinds Dr.

From Stuart, take the Treasure Coast Connector bus route that heads towards Fort Pierce. Board the bus at the nearest stop heading north. Stay on the bus until you reach the Fort Pierce transfer station. From there, transfer to the route that goes to Shorewinds Drive. Get off at the stop closest to 905 Shorewinds Dr, and walk a short distance to the entrance of Fort Pierce Inlet State Park.
