Car
From the center of Sun Coast, head south on US-19 S. Continue on US-19 S for approximately 20 miles until you reach the intersection with FL-674 E. Turn left onto FL-674 E and follow it for about 10 miles. When you reach the intersection with Lightfoot Road, turn right. After about 1 mile, you will see the entrance to Little Manatee River State Park on your left at 215 Lightfoot Road, Wimauma, FL 33598. Note: There is an entrance fee for the park, which is typically around $5 per vehicle.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, take the local bus (check the local transit authority for routes, as they can vary) to the nearest bus stop on US-301 near Wimauma. From there, you may need to arrange for a rideshare service (like Uber or Lyft) to get to the park entrance at 215 Lightfoot Road, Wimauma, FL 33598, as public transport does not directly service the park. Expect to pay for the rideshare in addition to your bus fare, which can be around $5-$10 depending on the distance.
Bicycle
For the more adventurous, consider biking. From the Sun Coast area, you can take a route along FL-674 E, which has designated bike lanes in some parts. Ensure you have a good map or GPS to navigate safely. Once you reach Lightfoot Road, follow it until you arrive at the park entrance. This option is free, but ensure to bring water and snacks for the ride, as facilities may not be available along the route.
