If you are starting from downtown Sarasota, head to the nearest bus stop for the Sarasota County Area Transit (SCAT) service. Board Bus Route 10 heading south towards Siesta Key. Stay on the bus for approximately 20-25 minutes. Get off at the stop near the intersection of Beneva Road and Stickney Point Road. From there, walk east along Stickney Point Road for about 0.5 miles until you reach Beneva Road. Turn north on Beneva Road and walk for about 0.3 miles. The entrance to Red Bug Slough Preserve will be on your right at 5200 S Beneva Rd.
