Public Bus
From downtown Tampa, head to the nearest bus stop. Take the HART Route 100X (Express Bus) heading towards Tarpon Springs. The bus will make several stops along the way; stay on for approximately 45 minutes until you reach the Tarpon Springs area. Once you arrive at the Tarpon Springs bus terminal, exit the bus and head southwest on E Tarpon Ave toward Dodecanese Blvd. Turn left onto Dodecanese Blvd, and you will see the Tarpon Springs Sponge Docks at 735 Dodecanese Blvd.
Trolley
If you are near the Tampa Bay Area, you can catch the Tampa Bay Trolley. Board the trolley at the nearest stop and ride towards Tarpon Springs. The trolley ride will take you through scenic areas and may take approximately an hour. Once you arrive in Tarpon Springs, get off at the closest stop to Dodecanese Blvd. Walk east towards the Sponge Docks, which is about a 10-minute walk from the trolley stop.
Ride-sharing Service
For a more direct route, use a ride-sharing service like Uber or Lyft. Open the app and set your destination to 'Tarpon Springs Sponge Docks, 735 Dodecanese Blvd, Tarpon Springs, FL 34689'. The drive will take approximately 45 minutes to an hour depending on traffic. This option is convenient as it will drop you off directly at the Sponge Docks.
Bicycle Rental
If you enjoy cycling, consider renting a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Tampa. Follow the scenic routes along the waterfront towards Tarpon Springs. The ride will take you about 1.5 to 2 hours. Make your way to Dodecanese Blvd upon entering Tarpon Springs, and you will find the Sponge Docks along this boulevard.
