Driving
From St. Petersburg, follow I-275 South to exit 17 for Pinellas Bayway (FL-682 W). Continue west on Pinellas Bayway, then turn south onto FL-679 S/Pinellas Bayway. Follow this road for approximately 6.6 miles to reach Fort De Soto Park. Note that there are two toll booths on Pinellas Bayway, totaling $1.25 ($.75 and $.50). Once inside the park, follow the main road to reach your desired destination, such as North Beach or the historic fort. Parking within Fort De Soto Park costs $6 per vehicle per day, payable via mobile app, pay-by-text, or at parking terminals. Using the app or pay-by-text incurs a $0.35 convenience fee.

From Fort De Soto Park boat ramp, a ferry service is available to Egmont Key. The ferry ride offers opportunities to spot dolphins, sea turtles, and manatees. Upon arrival at Egmont Key, you can explore the island's beaches, historic fort, and wildlife preserve. The ferry to Egmont Key costs $45 for adults, $25 for children (ages 3-11), and is free for children 2 and under.
