Place d'Albertas: A Baroque Jewel in Aix-en-Provence

Dissatisfied with the view from his mansion, he bought and demolished the buildings across the street to create a more pleasing vista. He then hired Georges Vallon, son of the city architect Laurent Vallon, to design the exquisite square inspired by the royal squares of Paris.The square is bordered by four mansions with nearly identical facades and wrought-iron balconies. These elegant buildings, adorned with intricate carvings and decorative elements in the Baroque style, create a sense of refined elegance.
