Getting There

Driving

From Grenoble, take the A480 motorway, followed by the D1091 towards Bourg d'Oisans. Continue on the D1091, then follow signs for Alpe d'Huez, ascending the D211 with its famous 21 hairpin bends. Parking is available in several free and paid lots throughout the resort. Free uncovered parking is available in some areas, but may be limited to 90 minutes between 9:30-12:00 and 14:30-19:30, requiring a European parking disc (€2 from the Tourist Office). Covered parking is also available for a fee.
Public Transport

From Grenoble, take the Transaltitude bus (Line T75) to Bourg d'Oisans (approximately 1.5 hours). From Bourg d'Oisans, transfer to the Transaltitude bus (Line T76) to Alpe d'Huez. Bus tickets can be purchased online or directly from the driver. A single journey from Grenoble to Alpe d'Huez costs approximately €12-15. Within Alpe d'Huez, free shuttle buses operate throughout the resort, providing access to different sectors and attractions.
Cable Car

Within Alpe d'Huez, the Alpe Express and Télévillage lifts are free and provide easy access between different areas of the resort. To reach the Pic Blanc summit for panoramic views, take the Pic Blanc 1 and 2 cable cars. A round trip ticket for both cable cars costs €18.50. A refillable skipass card is required for lift access and costs €2.
