Getting There

Car
If you're driving, head towards Strasbourg from your location in Alsace. Use the A35 motorway if you're coming from the south or the A4 if you're coming from the west. Once you reach Strasbourg, follow signs for the city center (Centre Ville). Upon entering the city, look for Rue de la Haute Montée and turn onto this road. Follow the road until it becomes Rue du 22 Novembre, then turn onto Rue Thomann. You can park in nearby parking garages such as 'Parking Austerlitz' or 'Parking de l'Hôpital' (parking fees apply). Grande-Île de Strasbourg is a short walk from these parking areas.

Take a regional train (TER) to Strasbourg from any major city in Alsace, such as Mulhouse or Colmar. Upon arrival at Strasbourg train station (Gare de Strasbourg), exit the train station and head towards the city center. You can follow signs for the 'Tram' or 'Bus' to catch public transport or simply walk. The Grande-Île is approximately a 15-20 minute walk from the train station. Walk along Rue du Maire Kuss, then take a left onto Rue de la Krutenau which leads directly into the heart of the Grande-Île.

From there, walk towards Rue de la Mésange; this will lead you directly into the Grande-Île area. The tram costs around €1.60 for a single ride.
