Start at the Annecy Train Station (Gare d'Annecy). Exit the station and head southeast on Rue de la Gare. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto Avenue du Parmelan. Walk straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with Rue de la République. Turn right onto Rue de la République and continue walking. This street will lead you through the beautiful old town of Annecy. You will pass by shops, cafés, and the stunning canals. Keep following Rue de la République until you reach Place de la Madeleine, which will be on your left after you cross over the canal.

From the Annecy Train Station, walk to the nearby bus stop (Arrêt Gare SNCF). Take bus line 2 towards 'Cran-Gevrier - Le Verger'. Ride for about 10 minutes and get off at the stop 'Place de la Madeleine'. From the bus stop, it is a short walk to the square. Just follow the signs or ask a local if you need directions.
