Walking
From the Bastide Saint-Louis (Lower Town), cross the Pont Vieux (Old Bridge) for a scenic 15-20 minute walk uphill to the Cité's main entrance, the Porte Narbonnaise. The route offers stunning panoramic views. Alternatively, ascend via Rue Trivalle directly to the Porte Narbonnaise. Note that the walk is steep in places.

From Carcassonne train station, take the RTCA bus. Several bus lines connect the station (Chenier Gare stop) to the Cité Médiévale stop. The ride takes approximately 20 minutes. A single ticket costs €1.
