From Bordeaux city center, the most convenient way to reach La Cité du Vin is by tram. Take Tram Line B and disembark at the 'La Cité du Vin' stop, which is directly in front of the museum. Trams run frequently, approximately every 10 minutes. A single ticket costs €2.
Walking
If you are in the Bassins à Flot area, or near the Garonne River, consider walking to La Cité du Vin. Dedicated pedestrian paths run along the river, offering a scenic route to the museum. From the Quai de Bacalan, it's a short, direct walk.
Taxi/Ride-Share
Taxis and ride-sharing services like Uber and Bolt are readily available throughout Bordeaux. A taxi from the city center to La Cité du Vin typically costs between €8 and €11 and takes approximately 4 minutes. Be sure to confirm the fare with the driver beforehand.
Driving
If driving, La Cité du Vin is accessible via the Bordeaux ring road (Rocade). Follow the signs for 'La Cité du Vin'. Paid parking is available at the Interparking La Cité du Vin, located opposite the museum. A 5-hour parking stay costs €6. Normal tariff is €2.30 for 1 hour. There are also several other public car parks nearby.
