Walking
From the Palais des Papes, head north towards the Rocher des Doms. The entrance to the Jardin des Doms is located at the top of the hill. Follow the marked pathways uphill; the walk takes approximately 10-15 minutes. Alternatively, take the free tourist train from the Palais des Papes. The train runs frequently and drops you off near the garden entrance. There are no costs associated with walking or taking the tourist train.
Public Transport
Several bus lines stop near the base of the Rocher des Doms. From the Avignon Centre train station, take bus lines 1 or 2 to the 'Porte de l'Oulle' stop. From there, it's a 10-minute uphill walk to the Jardin des Doms entrance. A single bus fare costs approximately €1.50. Consider purchasing a day pass for unlimited travel if you plan to use public transport extensively.
Taxi/Ride-Share
A taxi or ride-share from the Avignon Centre train station to the base of the Rocher des Doms will cost approximately €8-€12, depending on traffic. From the drop-off point, it's a short uphill walk to the garden entrance. Note that taxis cannot drive directly to the top of the Rocher des Doms.
