Getting There

Train
From Bordeaux Saint-Jean train station, take the TER train towards Arcachon. The journey takes approximately 40 minutes. Get off at the Cantenac station. From the station, exit and turn left onto Avenue de la Gare. Walk straight for about 600 meters until you reach the intersection with Chemin de Kirwan.

Bus
From the Bordeaux city center, head to the main bus station at Les Grands Hommes. Take the bus line 701 towards 'Mérignac Aéroport'. Alight at 'Cantenac - Mairie' after about 40 minutes. From the bus stop, walk straight along Chemin de Kirwan. The Château Kirwan will be on your right after approximately 800 meters.

Rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Bordeaux. Head towards the Bordeaux waterfront and take the cycle path along the river towards Cantenac. Follow the signs for the 'Vélodyssée' route. After about 15 kilometers, you will arrive at Chemin de Kirwan. Turn right and you will find Château Kirwan within a short distance.

If you're up for a long walk, start from the center of Bordeaux. Head towards the Pont de Pierre and cross the river. Continue straight onto Rue de la Lune, which turns into Avenue de la République. Follow the signs towards Cantenac, which is roughly 10 kilometers away. When you reach Chemin de Kirwan, turn left and Château Kirwan will be on your right.
