Driving
If arriving by car from the A6 motorway (Paris or Lyon), take the Pouilly-en-Auxois exit. From Dijon, take the A38 motorway, then the Sombernon exit, followed by the D977bis. Follow signs for Châteauneuf-en-Auxois. Free parking is available at the entrance to the village. From the parking area, it's a short walk uphill to the Château entrance.
Public Transport
While direct public transport to Châteauneuf-en-Auxois is limited, you can take a train to nearby Pouilly-en-Auxois. From there, a taxi or local bus (check local schedules) can take you to Châteauneuf. The taxi fare from Pouilly-en-Auxois to Châteauneuf is approximately €20-€30. Alternatively, buses 118 and 119 connect Châteauneuf to Semur-en-Auxois and Vandenesse, but schedules should be checked in advance.
Walking
From the village center of Châteauneuf-en-Auxois, the Château is easily accessible on foot. Follow the main street uphill, passing through the village's charming streets. The walk is short but involves a moderate incline. Once you reach the top of the village, the Château entrance will be clearly visible.
