Private guided Canadian D-Day Tour from Bayeux

Extremely Enjoyable Canadian D-Day Tour

We are a group of 4 friends who booked this tour for early September with Mike van den Dobbelsteen of Allied Victory Tours . The communication and organization before, during and after the tour were spot-on. The details for meeting, drop-off, lunch recommendations, etc, all of these were perfect for our needs. Our day unfolded at a relaxed pace with Mike providing detailed explanations of the sites, their significance and the logistics involved in trying to achieve a victory. Mike was very patient and knowledgeable and he answered all of our questions. He provided a clear picture of the events surrounding the activities here in June of 1944. We are Canadians and Mike also arranged a visit to Canada House for us. The entire day was very moving when reflecting on the battles here. Our visit to Canada House was an extra special and memorable time. It gives us hope, that if we don't let ourselves forget the realities of war, that we are less likely to commit to war in the future. All of us would highly recommend Mike and this tour.

D-Day Sites Tour

This was the best Normandy WWII tour we could have asked for during our visit to France. We booked a private tour, and it was absolutely worth it. Our guide, Igor, picked us up in a comfortable Mercedes and took us through the history of WWII in Europe while visiting some of the most important battle sites from D-Day, including Omaha Beach, Utah Beach, and Sainte-Mère-Église. Igor was extremely knowledgeable and made the history come alive as we traveled from one site to another. Having a private guide gave us the opportunity to really understand what happened at each location rather than simply seeing the sites. It was an incredibly interesting, moving, and memorable experience. We highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Normandy and interested in WWII history.

Excellent explanation of Omaha Beach

Igor was extremely knowledgeable about the DDay event. We saw cemetery, beach and bunkers. Really informative and worth the time.
