Opening times, essentials, and a few local tips gathered into one calmer, easier-to-scan planning section.
Walking
From the Cannes train station (Gare de Cannes), walk southeast along Rue Jean Jaurès. Turn left onto Boulevard de la Croisette. The Palais des Festivals, and thus Le Chemin des Étoiles, will be on your right, about a 15-minute walk. Alternatively, from the port area (Vieux Port), walk east along Quai Saint-Pierre, which becomes Boulevard de la Croisette. The Palais des Festivals will be on your left. No costs are associated with walking.
Public Transport
Several Palm Bus lines serve the Boulevard de la Croisette. Check the Palm Bus website or app for the most up-to-date routes and schedules. A single ticket costs €1.70 and can be purchased from the driver or at designated ticket vending machines. Disembark at a stop along the Croisette near the Palais des Festivals.
Taxi/Ride-Share
Taxis and ride-sharing services are readily available in Cannes. A short taxi ride from the train station or another point in the city center to the Palais des Festivals will typically cost between €10-€15, depending on traffic and the specific starting point.
Driving
If driving, be aware that parking along the Croisette is limited and can be expensive, especially during peak season and events. Several underground parking garages are located nearby, including Parking Palais des Festivals and Parking Croisette. Expect to pay around €2.60-€4 per hour, or €20-€30 for a full day. Consider parking further away from the Croisette and walking or taking public transport to avoid high parking fees.
