Public Transport
From Fréjus city center or Saint-Raphaël, take the local bus network (Estérel Côte d'Azur - Le Bus) towards Agay or Théoule-sur-Mer, depending on which part of the Massif you intend to visit. Several bus lines serve different access points to the Esterel. A single ticket costs around €2. Check the 'Le Bus' website for specific routes and schedules. From the bus stops, follow the marked trails into the Massif.
Driving
From Fréjus or Saint-Raphaël, follow the D559 (coastal road) towards Agay or Théoule-sur-Mer. Numerous parking areas provide access to various trailheads within the Massif. Parking is generally free, but can be limited during peak season. Be aware that during certain periods (weekends and holidays from May 8th to June 9th, 2025), vehicle access beyond Gratadis parking may be restricted, with a free shuttle service operating from Agay (parking du Togo) to Col de Notre-Dame. Parking at the Togo is free.
Taxi/Ride-Share
Taxis and ride-sharing services are available in Fréjus and Saint-Raphaël. A short trip from the city center to a trailhead in the Esterel will cost approximately €15-€25, depending on the distance and traffic. Be sure to specify your desired trailhead when booking.
