Getting there

Public Transport

To reach Point de vue sur L'Arveyron via public transport, start at the Chamonix Bus Station. Take bus line 1 towards Les Houches. Check the latest bus schedule, as they may vary by season. Get off at the 'Les Praz' stop, which is about a 10-minute ride. From there, it is a 15-minute walk to the viewpoint. Head south on Promenade des Econtres; follow this path to Point de vue sur L'Arveyron. A single bus ticket purchased in advance costs €1.50, or €2.00 if bought on the bus. A day ticket costs €5.00.

Walking

If you prefer walking from Chamonix town center, walk southeast on Rue du Docteur Paccard. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Avenue Ravanel le Rouge. Continue onto Promenade des Econtres. This scenic walk should take about 30-40 minutes.

Car

If driving from Chamonix center, head southeast on Rue du Docteur Paccard towards Avenue de l'Aiguille du Midi. Continue to the roundabout and take the first exit onto Avenue Ravanel le Rouge. Follow the road as it curves and becomes Promenade des Econtres. Parking is available near the viewpoint. The drive should take approximately 10 minutes, depending on traffic.

A stone marked with '1825' indicates the year when the Mer de Glace glacier reached its furthest point.
