Discover more about Champagne Marion-Bosser

Champagne Marion-Bosser stands as a testament to the enduring legacy of family winemaking in the heart of Hautvillers, the village where Dom Pérignon himself perfected the art of Champagne. More than just a winery, it's a journey through generations of passion, dedication, and a deep connection to the land. The Marion-Bosser family has been rooted in Hautvillers since 1438, initially prospering through grape commerce before embracing the production of sparkling wine. In the early 20th century, the union of Marion and Bosser marked the official establishment of the Champagne house, with a commitment to showcasing the unique qualities of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Meunier grapes. The house remained in the epicenter of Hautvillers at the crosspoint of all other Champagne houses of the village with a direct access by road for the carriages to export grapes to different regions in France. Remains of medieval activities are still part of the Marion-Bosser house as it was initially used as a post office for couriers to distribute news from Paris to the capital of Champagne, Epernay as well as to the coronation place of kings of France in Reims. Today, Champagne Marion-Bosser is run by Elodie Marion, a graduate of viticulture and enology from Beaune, who carries on the family's commitment to excellence. With only 4 hectares of Premier Cru vines, the estate produces a limited quantity of exceptional champagnes, each reflecting the unique terroir of Hautvillers. The vineyards, primarily south-southeast facing, benefit from optimal sun exposure and the region's distinctive belemnite chalk soil, providing the perfect conditions for producing top-quality grapes. A visit to Champagne Marion-Bosser is an immersive experience that engages all the senses. Guests are welcomed into a warm and inviting atmosphere, where they can learn about the history of the estate, the intricacies of the winemaking process, and the unique characteristics of each cuvée. The tasting room offers a selection of their Premier Cru champagnes, including the 'Tradition', Premier Cru Rosé, Premier Cru Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs, and Premier Cru Millesime Vintage. Each champagne is crafted with meticulous attention to detail, resulting in a symphony of flavors and aromas that capture the essence of the Champagne region. Beyond the exceptional champagnes, a visit to Marion-Bosser offers a glimpse into the soul of Hautvillers. The village itself is a charming and picturesque destination, steeped in history and surrounded by rolling vineyards. Visitors can explore the abbey where Dom Pérignon lived and worked, wander through the narrow streets adorned with wrought-iron signs, and soak in the breathtaking views of the Marne Valley. Champagne Marion-Bosser is more than just a tasting room; it's a gateway to experiencing the rich cultural heritage of the Champagne region. Whether you're a seasoned champagne aficionado or a curious traveler seeking an authentic experience, Champagne Marion-Bosser offers an unforgettable journey into the world of premier cru winemaking. The passion, dedication, and commitment to quality that have been passed down through generations are evident in every bottle, making it a true gem of the Champagne region.
