Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from Reims, take the A34 highway towards Charleville-Mézières. This is a scenic route through the countryside. Once you reach Charleville-Mézières, follow the signs for Sedan on the D804 road. Continue on D804 for about 20 km until you arrive in Sedan. Once in Sedan, follow the signs to 'Château de Sedan' which will lead you directly to the castle located at Cour du Château, 08200 Sedan. Parking is available nearby, but be sure to check for any parking fees.

• Train

  To reach Sedan Castle by train, start at the Reims train station. Board a train heading to Charleville-Mézières. The journey takes about 1 hour and tickets typically cost around €15. Once you arrive at Charleville-Mézières, transfer to a local train or bus heading to Sedan. The local train journey takes approximately 20 minutes. Upon arriving in Sedan, it's a short walk to the castle located at Cour du Château, 08200 Sedan.

• Bus

  From Charleville-Mézières, you can take a regional bus to Sedan. Look for the 'SNCF' bus line at the Charleville-Mézières bus station. The bus ride takes about 30 minutes and tickets are usually around €5. The bus will drop you off in the center of Sedan, from where you can easily walk to the castle at Cour du Château, 08200 Sedan. Make sure to check the bus schedule as services may be limited on weekends.

• Bicycle

  For the adventurous, consider cycling from Charleville-Mézières to Sedan. The distance is approximately 20 km and takes about 1-1.5 hours depending on your pace. You can rent a bicycle at various locations in Charleville-Mézières. Follow the D804 road, which is relatively flat and offers beautiful views of the surrounding countryside.
