From Colmar train station (Gare de Colmar), take the train to Sélestat. The train journey takes about 20 minutes. Once you arrive at Sélestat, exit the station and look for the bus stop nearby. Board bus line 67 (direction Orschwiller). The bus ride to the stop 'Château du Haut-Kœnigsbourg' takes approximately 20 minutes. After getting off the bus, follow the signs leading you up the hill to the Château, which is about a 15-minute walk.

For those who prefer cycling, rent a bike in Colmar and head towards the D106 road. Follow the route towards Orschwiller, which is approximately 12 kilometers away. The ride will take about 40-50 minutes. Upon reaching Orschwiller, follow the signs to Château du Haut-Kœnigsbourg, which is a short uphill ride from the village.

If you are feeling adventurous and want to hike, you can walk from Colmar to Château du Haut-Kœnigsbourg. Start by heading towards the D106 road. The distance is about 12 kilometers, and the hike can take approximately 2.5 to 3 hours.
