For those arriving by car, free parking is available along the road leading up to the Château du Haut-Kœnigsbourg. Be aware that during peak season, parking can be limited, and you may need to walk a considerable distance (up to 1km) from your parking spot to the castle entrance. From the parking area, it's a 300-meter walk uphill on a dirt path to reach the castle entrance.

Public Transport
The most convenient way to reach the Château du Haut-Kœnigsbourg via public transport is by taking the shuttle bus (Line 500) from Sélestat train station. The shuttle bus operates on weekends and holidays from March to early January, and daily from April to early May, late May to the end of August, and mid-October to early November. The shuttle bus fare is €2.50 each way. Upon presenting the shuttle ticket, visitors receive a reduced rate on the castle entrance fee: €6 instead of €12 for adults, and €6 instead of €8 for those aged 6-17. The bus also serves Monkey Mountain, Volerie des Aigles, Kintzheim centre and Cigoland.
