Obernai's city center is easily navigable on foot. From the Obernai train station, it's a pleasant 500-meter (6-minute) walk to the Place du Marché, the heart of the town. Follow Rue de la Gare towards the center, and you'll soon see the Kappelturm (belfry) rising above the rooftops. Orientation is straightforward, with the belfry serving as a constant landmark. No special transport or tolls are required for this final approach.

If arriving by bus from Strasbourg (Line 257) or other regional locations (Line 262), disembark at a stop near the city center, such as Selhof-Centre. From there, it's a short walk to the Place du Marché. Local 'Pass'O' bus lines also operate within Obernai, offering free transport on regular lines. For areas not served by regular lines, on-demand transportation is available and must be booked in advance. A single journey on the bus lines 257 and 262 costs €0.80 within Obernai. The Pass'O bus lines are free.

When driving into Obernai, follow signs towards the city center. Several free parking lots are available near the ramparts, including Parking des Remparts (335 spaces) and Parking de l'Altau (140 spaces). Paid parking is available closer to the center, such as at Parking Sainte-Odile. Parking Sainte-Odile rates during high season (May 1 to September 30) start with free parking for the first 15 minutes, then increase to €0.60 per 15 minutes for the next 2 hours. A 24-hour parking costs €25. Be aware that parking can be limited during peak tourist season and on Thursday mornings due to the weekly market.
