Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving, start by navigating to the address 2 Bd du Palais, 75001 Paris. Depending on your starting point, major roads such as the A1, A4, and A6 can take you into the city. Once you're in central Paris, follow signs for 'Cité' or 'Île de la Cité'. There is limited street parking in the area, and it can be quite expensive (approximately €4-6 per hour). Alternatively, consider using nearby parking garages such as 'Parking Palais de Justice' which is a short walk from Conciergerie.

• Metro

  For those using public transportation, the easiest way to reach Conciergerie is via the Paris Metro. Head to 'Cité' station on Metro Line 4. Upon exiting the station, follow signs to 'Île de la Cité'. Conciergerie is a short 5-minute walk from the station. Alternatively, you can take Metro Line 1 to 'Châtelet' station and transfer to Line 4 towards 'Bagneux'.

• RER Train

  If you're coming from outside of Paris or the suburbs, the RER train can be a convenient option. Take the RER B line to 'Saint-Michel - Notre-Dame' station. From there, it's a 10-minute walk to Conciergerie. As you exit the station, head towards the Seine River and follow the signs towards 'Île de la Cité'.

  Several bus lines also serve the area around Conciergerie. You can take bus line 21, 38, or 85 and get off at 'Cité - Palais de Justice' stop. From there, Conciergerie is just a minute's walk away.
