Car
If you're driving from Montpellier, take the A750 highway towards Millau. After approximately 70 km, take the exit towards Meyrueis (D986). Continue on D986 until you reach the village of Meyrueis. From Meyrueis, follow signs for Grotte De Dargilan, which is about 5 km away. The road will lead you through beautiful countryside, and you'll find free parking available at the cave entrance.
Public Transportation
Start your journey by taking a train from Montpellier to Millau. Once in Millau, you will need to catch a local bus (Bus No. 202) towards Meyrueis. The bus ride takes approximately 30 minutes. Upon arriving in Meyrueis, you will have to walk about 5 km to Grotte De Dargilan. It is advisable to use a GPS or a map on your phone to navigate the final stretch, or ask locals for directions. Be sure to check bus schedules in advance as they can be limited.
Taxi or Rideshare
If you prefer a direct route without driving, consider taking a taxi or using a rideshare app from Montpellier or Millau. This option can be more expensive, generally costing around 80-100 EUR from Montpellier or 30-50 EUR from Millau, but it will take you directly to Grotte De Dargilan without the hassle of public transport.
