Car
If you are driving from Montpellier, take the A9 motorway towards Nîmes. After approximately 40 km, take exit 26 for N106 towards Alès. Continue on N106 for about 30 km until you reach the D907. Turn left onto D907 and follow the signs for Courry. After about 10 km, you will see signs for Grotte de la Cocalière. The caves are located at Grotte de la Cocalière, 30500 Courry. There is a parking area available on-site, with parking fees typically included in the admission price.
Public Transportation
To reach Grotte de la Cocalière via public transport, take a train from Montpellier to Alès. The train journey takes about 1 hour. Once in Alès, take bus line 4 towards Courry. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the stop 'Grotte de la Cocalière'. Please check the bus schedule in advance as services may vary. The total cost for the train and bus combined is usually around €15-€20.
Taxi or Rideshare
For a more direct route, consider taking a taxi or using a rideshare service from Alès. The distance is roughly 20 km and will take about 25 minutes. Expect to pay around €30-€40 for the trip, depending on your specific pickup location.
