Car
If you're traveling by car, start from Montpellier. Take the A750 highway towards Millau. After about 30 km, merge onto the A75 motorway towards Clermont-l'Hérault. Exit at 'Clermont-l'Hérault' (exit 58) and follow signs for 'Lac du Salagou'. Continue on D609 for approximately 10 km, where you will see signs directing you to Barrage Lac du Salagou. There is free parking available near the reservoir.
Public Transportation
To reach Barrage Lac du Salagou by public transport, take a train from Montpellier to Clermont-l'Hérault (about a 30-minute journey). From the train station in Clermont-l'Hérault, you can take a local bus (Line 202) towards 'Lac du Salagou'. The bus ride takes approximately 20 minutes. Be sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time as services may vary. There may be a small fee for the bus ticket, typically around €1.50.
Bicycle
For the more adventurous, consider cycling from Clermont-l'Hérault to Barrage Lac du Salagou. The distance is approximately 10 km and can be done along the D609 road.
