If you are in the center of Nîmes, start at the famous Nîmes Arena. From there, head south on Boulevard de la Liberté. Continue straight until you reach Place d'Assas. Turn left onto Rue de la République and walk straight for about 10 minutes. You will cross the Rhône River, and once you reach the intersection with Rue de la Monnaie, take a right. Continue walking for another 15 minutes until you reach the city center of Avignon. Place Pie is located just a short walk from the center, on your left as you approach the Palais des Papes.

From Nîmes city center, head to the bus station located at the 'Gare Routière' near the Nîmes train station. Look for buses heading to Avignon; they are frequent and take about 30 minutes. Purchase your ticket at the counter or from a machine, and board the bus marked for Avignon. Once you arrive at the Avignon bus station, exit and walk towards the city center. Head towards Rue de la République and continue straight until you reach Place Pie.

To travel by train, go to the Nîmes train station (Gare de Nîmes), which is well-signposted in the city. Buy a ticket to Avignon from the ticket counter or a ticket machine. Trains run regularly, and the journey takes about 20 minutes. Once you arrive at Avignon's train station, exit and walk towards the main street, Rue de la République. Walk straight for about 10 minutes, and you will reach Place Pie on your left.
