Car
From Les Arcs, head towards the D119 road. Follow this road for approximately 22 km until you reach the village of Bourg-Saint-Maurice. From Bourg-Saint-Maurice, continue on the D902 road towards Val-Cenis. Follow the signs for Val-Cenis and keep driving until you reach the parking area near the Parc National de la Vanoise. The last stretch will require you to park in a designated area (parking fees may apply) and then hike towards Refuge de La Leisse, which is approximately a 1.5 to 2-hour walk from the parking area.
Public Transportation
Take a bus from Les Arcs to Bourg-Saint-Maurice. Buses run regularly, and you can check the local schedule for timings. Once in Bourg-Saint-Maurice, transfer to a bus heading towards Val-Cenis. After arriving in Val-Cenis, you will need to walk to the designated parking area for the Parc National de la Vanoise. From there, begin your hike to Refuge de La Leisse, which should take roughly 1.5 to 2 hours.
Hiking
After parking your car or arriving at Val-Cenis by public transport, you will need to hike to Refuge de La Leisse. Begin your hike from the designated trailhead near the parking area. Follow the marked trails that lead through beautiful alpine scenery. The hike is moderate and will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Make sure to wear suitable hiking shoes and bring sufficient water and snacks.
