Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Cassis. Head towards Avenue de la Vigie and follow the signs to the Cassis Lighthouse (Phare de Cassis). The lighthouse is located at the end of the peninsula, which is about 3 km from the town center. There is parking available near the lighthouse, but it can fill up quickly during peak season, so arrive early. The drive offers beautiful views of the coastline.
Public Transportation
To reach Cassis Lighthouse using public transportation, take a train from Marseille to Cassis. The train ride takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Cassis train station, walk towards the town center (approximately 15 minutes). From there, you can either walk to the lighthouse (which is about a 30-minute walk) or take a local bus towards the lighthouse. If you are already in Les Calanques National Park, the best route to the lighthouse is through the hiking trails. Depending on your starting point, you can find trails leading to the lighthouse. From the Port of Cassis, take the coastal path which is well marked. The hike is approximately 1.5 km and offers stunning views of the sea and surrounding cliffs. Make sure to wear appropriate hiking shoes and bring water.
