From Lille, head to the Lille Europe train station. Once there, take Bus Line 11 towards 'Ypres'. The journey will take approximately 1 hour. Get off at the 'Zillebeke' stop, which is the closest stop to the Sanctuary Wood Museum. From the bus stop, walk south on Canadalaan for about 10 minutes until you reach the museum at Canadalaan 26.
Train
Make your way to Lille Flandres train station. Purchase a ticket to 'Ieper' (Ypres). Trains run frequently, and the journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Ypres station, exit and take Bus Line 11 towards 'Zillebeke'. Get off at the 'Zillebeke' stop. Walk south on Canadalaan for about 10 minutes to reach the Sanctuary Wood Museum at Canadalaan 26.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle in Lille and follow the D947 road towards Ypres. The ride is about 30 kilometers and will take approximately 1.5 hours. Once in Zillebeke, continue on Canadalaan, and you will find the Sanctuary Wood Museum at Canadalaan 26.
Walking
While walking from Lille to Ypres is quite ambitious, if you are keen, start from the center of Lille and head towards the D947 road. Follow the signs for 'Ypres'. This walk is around 30 kilometers and will take several hours. Once in Zillebeke, make your way to Canadalaan, where you will find the Sanctuary Wood Museum at number 26.
