Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Wazemmes market area, head southeast on Rue des Postes toward Rue de la Monnaie. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Rue des Moulins. Turn left onto Rue des Moulins. Walk for about 10 minutes, keeping an eye out for signs towards the zoo. You will pass several shops and cafés along the way, making it a pleasant stroll. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Avenue du Peuple Belge. Turn right onto Avenue du Peuple Belge and walk straight for about 5 minutes until you see the entrance to Zoo de Lille on your left.

  • Public Transport

    From Wazemmes, walk to the nearest metro station, 'Wazemmes' (about a 5-minute walk). Take Line 2 (the blue line) towards 'St. Philibert.' After just two stops, get off at 'Rihour.' Transfer to Line 1 (the red line) at Rihour station towards '4 Cantons - Stade Pierre-Mauroy.' Get off at 'Cité Scientific' station. From there, it’s a 15-minute walk to Zoo de Lille. Exit the station and head south on Avenue de l'Université, then turn left onto Avenue du Peuple Belge, which leads directly to the zoo entrance. Note: The metro ticket costs around €1.60.
