There is parking available near the château, but be aware that it may fill up quickly during peak tourist season. Make sure to check for any parking fees that might apply.

For public transportation, take a train from Tours to the nearest station, which is Chatillon-sur-Indre. The train ride will take about 35 minutes. From Chatillon-sur-Indre station, you have several options: You can either take a taxi directly to Château de Montrésor, which is about 9 kilometers away, or you can walk. If you choose to walk, head southwest on Rue de la Gare towards Avenue de la République, then follow the D31 road for about 1.5 hours to reach Montrésor. Note that walking may not be ideal due to limited pathways and road safety.

From Tours, you can also take a regional bus to Montrésor. Check the local bus schedule for the line that operates between Tours and Montrésor, as services may vary. The bus journey will take approximately 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on the route. Once you arrive in Montrésor, it is a short walk to the château, located about 1 kilometer from the bus stop. Follow signs directing you to the château, and be prepared for some quaint village streets.
