From the center of Bitche, the Citadel is accessible on foot. Follow Rue des Tilleuls for approximately 1 km. The walk offers a scenic view of the town and the surrounding area. Note that the walk to the top can be steep.

Take a train to Sarreguemines, the nearest major station. From Sarreguemines, take local bus Line 2 to Bitche. The bus stop is located outside the train station. Once in Bitche, walk to Rue des Tilleuls where the Citadel of Bitche is situated. Bus fare is approximately €2.

If driving, take the A4 motorway towards Strasbourg and exit at Bitche, following signs for the D3 road. Continue on the D3 into Bitche. Follow Rue des Tilleuls to reach the Citadel. Parking is available near the Citadel. There is a free camper van area in the citadel car park. Parking fee is required in some areas.
