    Pont Adolphe, often called the 'New Bridge' (Nei Bréck in Luxembourgish, Nouveau pont in French, and Neue Brücke in German) by locals, is an iconic double-decked arch bridge in Luxembourg City. Spanning the picturesque Pétrusse Valley, it connects Boulevard Royal in Ville Haute to Avenue de la Liberté in the Gare district. Constructed between 1900 and 1903, during the reign of Grand Duke Adolphe, the bridge quickly became a symbol of Luxembourg's independence and a major tourist attraction.The bridge's design, a collaboration between French engineer Paul Séjourné and Luxembourgish engineer Albert Rodange, was considered audacious for its time. The central arch, with a span of 84.65 meters, was the largest stone arch in the world upon completion. The entire structure stretches 153 meters in length and stands 42 meters above the valley floor.
