Getting There

• Metro

  If you are near a metro station, take Line D (the dark green line) towards 'Gare de Vaise' and get off at 'Vieux Lyon' station. Upon exiting the station, follow the signs to 'Rue du Bœuf'. From there, walk down the charming cobblestone streets, keeping an eye out for the beautiful buildings, until you reach Place Saint-Jean.

• Walking

  If you are already in the Old Town (Vieux Lyon) area, simply walk towards Place Saint-Jean. Look for the large square, and the Cathédrale Saint-Jean-Baptiste will be hard to miss with its stunning façade. It is located directly at the square, making it a central landmark.

• Tram

  If you are near a tram line, take Tram T1 towards 'IUT-Feyssine' and get off at the 'Bellecour' stop. From Bellecour, head towards the Saône River, cross the bridge 'Pont Bonaparte', and continue straight until you reach Place Saint-Jean. The cathedral will be located directly in front of you.

• Bus

  If you are near a bus stop, take Bus Line C1 or C3 and get off at 'Vieux Lyon'. From there, you can walk towards Place Saint-Jean. Follow the signs that guide you through the historic streets until you arrive at the cathedral.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the many Vélo'v stations around Lyon. Start from your location and navigate towards the Saône River. Follow the riverbank until you reach Place Saint-Jean, where the Cathédrale Saint-Jean-Baptiste is located.
