Metro
Start your journey by taking the Metro Line D (the green line) from any station in Lyon. If you're closer to the city center, you can board at the Bellecour station. Ride towards the station 'Gare de Vaise' and get off at the 'Vieux Lyon' station. This will take around 5 minutes.
Walking
Upon exiting the 'Vieux Lyon' Metro station, follow the signs to Rue Saint-Jean. Continue walking on Rue Saint-Jean until you reach the intersection with Rue du Bât d'Argent. Turn left onto Rue du Bât d'Argent and walk straight until you reach the steps leading up to the basilica. You will see signs pointing toward the Basilique Notre-Dame de Fourvière.
Stairs
Once you find the stairs, known as the Escalier Basilique de Fourvière, you will have to climb 260 steps. It’s a steep ascent, but there are beautiful views of the city along the way. Take your time and enjoy the scenery!

At the top of the stairs, you will arrive at the Basilique Notre-Dame de Fourvière. Take a moment to explore the basilica itself and enjoy the panoramic views of Lyon from the terrace.
