If you are driving, head towards the center of Marseille. Use the A7 motorway and follow the signs for 'Centre Ville.' Once you reach the city center, look for signs directing you to the Vieux Port area. Find parking near the Vieux Port, as on-street parking can be limited. From the Vieux Port, it’s a pleasant 15-minute walk. Head northeast along the Quai des Belges, then cross the bridge to the Fort Saint-Jean, where you'll find Place d'Armes.

To reach Place d'Armes using public transport, take the Metro Line 1 (Blue Line) and get off at the 'Vieux Port' station. From there, exit the station and head towards the harbor. Once at the Vieux Port, you can either walk (about 15 minutes) or take the Bus Line 60 towards 'Les Goudes' and get off at the 'Fort Saint-Jean' stop. From the bus stop, it’s a short walk to Place d'Armes located at the Esplanade du Fort Saint-Jean.
