From the mainland parking areas (P2-P13), access to Mont Saint-Michel is primarily via the free 'Le Passeur' shuttle bus. These shuttles run frequently, approximately every 5-15 minutes depending on the season and crowds, from the parking area to a drop-off point roughly 350 meters from the entrance to the walled city. The ride takes about 12 minutes. Parking costs vary depending on the season: expect to pay around €6.80-€25 for 24 hours. The shuttle service is included in the parking fee. Ensure you keep your parking ticket, as it's needed for payment upon exit. P2 parking is reserved for visitors with reduced mobility.

Alternatively, from the mainland parking areas, you can walk to Mont Saint-Michel via designated footpaths. The walk takes approximately 40-50 minutes and offers scenic views of the bay. Follow signs for 'La Lisière' or 'Les Berges du Couesnon'. Note that the walk is fully exposed to the elements, so be prepared for wind and weather. There is no additional cost for walking, as it is included in the parking fee.
