Shuttle Bus
Upon arrival at the designated Mont Saint-Michel parking area (approx. 2.5 km from the Mont), the final approach involves utilizing the free shuttle service, 'Le Passeur'. These shuttles operate frequently from 7:30 AM to midnight (with potential variations depending on the season). The ride takes approximately 12 minutes, dropping passengers off roughly 350 meters from the entrance to the Mont. This service is free of charge, as it is included in the parking fee.
Walking
Alternatively, from the Mont Saint-Michel parking area, visitors can walk to the Mont via a designated pedestrian path. The walk takes approximately 45-50 minutes and offers scenic views of the bay. Note that this option involves a considerable walk and may not be suitable for individuals with mobility issues. There are no additional costs associated with walking.
Parking
Parking is mandatory at the designated parking area located 2.5 km from Mont Saint-Michel. Parking fees vary depending on the season: High season (April 1 to September 30): approximately €9.80 for cars. Low season (October 1 to March 31): approximately €6.80 for cars. Parking is free after 6:30 PM during low and mid-season. Payment is made at automatic pay stations at the parking lot. Ensure you retain your parking ticket for payment upon exit.
