Getting There

Tram
From the center of Montpellier, head to the Comédie tram station. Take the Line 1 tram (the blue line) towards 'Mosson'. Ride for about 20 minutes and get off at the station 'Place de l'Europe'. Once you exit the tram, transfer to Line 3 (the light blue line) towards 'Béziers'. After approximately 15 minutes, get off at 'Sète' station. From here, it's a short 10-minute walk to Canal Royal. Exit the station and head southeast on Rue de la République towards Rue du 11 Novembre. Continue straight until you reach the canal, where you'll find Canal Royal.

Bus
Begin at the Comédie square and locate the bus stop for Line 7. Board the bus heading towards 'Sète'. This journey will take about 40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Sète bus station, exit and walk south on Avenue de la Méditerranée. Continue straight for about 15 minutes until you reach the Canal Royal. The canal will be on your left side.

Bicycle
If you're up for a bike ride, rent a bicycle from one of the many bike-sharing stations in Montpellier. Head towards the south on Avenue de la Mer. After about an hour of cycling, follow the signs to Sète. Once you arrive in Sète, follow the signs towards the Canal Royal. The ride is scenic and will take you through some lovely countryside.

If you're feeling adventurous, you can also walk to Sète from Montpellier. Begin at Place de la Comédie and head south on Rue de la Loge. Follow the path that leads you towards Rue de l'Université and continue onto Rue des Écoles. After about 2 hours of walking, you will arrive in Sète. From the city center, simply follow signs for the Canal Royal.
