Train
To reach the Basilique Saint-Michel Archange in Menton from Nice, start by heading to the Nice-Ville train station. You can take tram line 1 from the city center to the station or walk if you're nearby. Once at Nice-Ville, purchase a ticket to Menton (about €7). Board a train heading towards Ventimiglia. The journey takes approximately 40 minutes. Upon arrival at Menton station, exit the station and walk towards the main road (Avenue de la République). Cross the road and head towards the old town. Follow the signs to 'Vieille Ville' and 'Basilique Saint-Michel Archange.' The basilica is located in Place de l'Eglise, approximately a 15-minute walk uphill through the charming streets of Menton.
Bus
From the city center of Nice, you can take bus line 100 from the bus stop near Place Massena. The bus will take you directly to Menton, and the journey lasts about 1 hour. Make sure to check the bus schedule as it may vary throughout the day. Upon arriving in Menton, disembark at the stop 'Menton - Gare Routière.' From there, follow the signs to the old town. Walk towards Avenue de la République, then head uphill towards Place de l'Eglise. The basilica will be on your left as you reach the top of the hill.
Walking
If you're already in Menton or nearby, you can walk to the Basilique Saint-Michel Archange. Start from the Menton beach area and head towards the town center. Follow the promenade until you reach the main square (Place du Cap). From there, take the street leading away from the beach, which will lead you into the old town. Keep following the signs to the old town (Vieille Ville) and the basilica. It is a pleasant walk through charming streets, taking about 20 minutes from the beach.
