Bus
From Nîmes city center, head to the main bus station, Gare Routière. Take Bus Line 13 towards 'Saint-Geniès-des-Mourgues'. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Vacquières' stop. From there, walk about 10 minutes along Route de Montpellier, then turn left onto Route du Brestalou. Continue straight for about 1 km, and you will arrive at Château de Lascaux.
Bike
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike in Nîmes. Start from the city center and head towards the Avenue Jean Jaurès. Follow the bike path that leads out of Nîmes towards Vacquières. The ride will take around 30-40 minutes. Upon reaching Vacquières, look for Route du Brestalou, and you will find Château de Lascaux approximately 2 km ahead.
Walking
If you are feeling adventurous and want to walk, you can take a scenic route from Nîmes to Vacquières. Start by heading north towards the Pont du Gard and follow the scenic pathways that lead out of the city. This route is approximately 10 km and will take about 2-3 hours on foot. Upon reaching Vacquières, navigate to Route du Brestalou, where Château de Lascaux is located.
